“My side hurts a lot,” she shared, which is where the port was removed. “It feels like I got stabbed.” Still, looking at the positives, as always, she was elated to find smooth skin in the places where her port once raised it.
“It feels so weird, I love it,” she said. As much as she is thrilled to be cancer-free, Isabella found leaving the hospital—a place where she’s spent the majority of her time these last eight months—to be bittersweet. “I miss my doctors already,” she said.
“And everyone who’s helped me. Because they’re all so nice. I feel like I was just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t going to be going back for a while ’cause I love them so much.
