It’s fitting because this film really felt like a huge homage to those films and “forgotten” heroes. The post-credits scene shows Deadpool back at the TVA talking to the audience. He’s defending himself that he’s not responsible for killing off one of the major cameo characters ( omitted for spoiler reasons ).
