Promising a “A taste of Ireland, right on your doorstep”, Katie O’Brien’s is already recruiting for staff. Modelled on the pubs of Dublin’s Temple Bar, the company says: “Katie O’Brien’s is your new home for great craic, live music and the perfect pint.” Katie O’Brien’s already has bars in Leicester, Newcastle, Durham and Nottingham.

The spokesperson said they were keen to see Harrogate open soon after Leeds, but they could comment on any plans for York.
