IRELAND AM star Muireann O'Connell has shared a major update on her house hunting journey. The Virgin Media presenter got engaged to her long-term boyfriend who she refers to as her 'housemate', to keep his identity private, in 2021. Muireann has been looking for a house to buy for the past few years with her partner.

However, the search for her forever home hasn't been easy and Muireann has even previously recalled people crying at viewings . The Limerick beauty took to Instagram today to update her fans and revealed that she had made an offer on a home but it fell through. Muireann explained: “We’re back on the viewings bandwagon.

We got sale agreed on a house there a while ago but it all fell through unfortunately through no fault of anyone. "The couple seem absolutely lovely and I wish them all the best for them and their family in the future. And it was a gorgeous house.

So I hope that they enjoy it." Muireann added: "So now we’re back viewing. Doing those sort of things again.

"It’s very depressing. A fun thing to do if you weren’t competing with other people in the market." In the same Instagram Story, Muireann admitted that she used "very strong language" as she apologised to her fans .

The Virgin Media host called out an online troll last night after they left a hate comment about her mum. Muireann had posted a clip of her mum Marie, sharing some free gardening advice . While most of her fans absolutely loved the hacks and flooded the comment section with love, one person commented on the video falsely saying "dementia" and Muireann made sure to call them out.

The Limerick native took to Instagram this afternoon to share a screenshot of the rude comment and said: "This is the f***ing internet. "A comment about my mother. I am absolutely fuming.

" Muireann shared her disbelief at how "hateful" people can be saying: "And Instagram wouldn't allow me to call her a d***head. The utter hate in people's heart. "'You need to have thicker skin'.

No people need to stop being thunder***ts."" However, today Muireann came onto her Instagram Stories to apologise for her colourful language. She said: "I saw that comment yesterday and just kind of lost it.

So, I'm very sorry - I used some very strong language." The Limerick native added: "You've all been very lovely. I just think mothers are out of bounds.

Mothers and kids...

don't do it.".
