An investigation is already underway after three gunshots were fired at a property in Little Hulton. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the incident was on Queen Street at 5.55pm on Friday.
They said three gunshots were fired at a property on a street which is home to a small number of terraced houses and St Edmund's RC Primary School although the primary school is closed for Christmas. It is thought the offender or the offenders were on a motorbike but there are no arrests at this time amid an appeal for anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage and doorbell footage or any other witnesses. Detective Inspector Justin Bryant, of GMP Salford, said: "This incident will undoubtedly cause concern for those who live and work in Little Hulton and Salford as a whole.
"We strongly believe that this incident was targeted, with no wider threats to the public. "Officers will be present in the area to reassure our local communities and are there to listen to any of your concerns. "Your information, no matter how small you think it may seem, could prove invaluable to our ongoing investigation.
