Wednesday, October 2, 2024 The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has introduced IATA Connect, a platform designed to foster a secure and collaborative network for professionals in aviation safety, security, compliance, and operations. This platform connects experts from airlines, regulatory bodies, and auditors, providing them with a dedicated space to engage and exchange information. Initially, IATA Connect focuses on the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
Members of this community will have access to tools that facilitate the secure exchange of safety documents, the sharing of crucial information, and collaboration aimed at enhancing aviation safety standards. Beyond the IOSA Registry, IATA Connect features a private, secure documentation repository that offers analytical and benchmarking capabilities. This repository includes IOSA audit reports, industry standards, guidance materials, profiles for 440 airlines, and a range of industry alerts and news.
All of these resources can be securely accessed and shared by community members. The platform has already extended invitations to approximately 2,300 aviation safety professionals, including regulators, IOSA-registered airlines, and auditors, to join and contribute to the IATA Connect community. “IATA Connect will provide aviation safety and compliance professionals in government and the industry with a means to make flying even safer by facilitating real time collaboration.
