While many homeowners could only dream of one day living in a high-end penthouse apartment, impeccably completed to a show home standard, this buyer wanted to make some significant changes. The client enlisted the help of interior designer Moya Farrell from Avenue Interior Design to redesign the space for a more comfortable, relaxed and stylish look. “The brief was something that was still very inspiring and beautiful, but less formal and more of a functional home,” Moya explained.
“The house was a show home but hadn’t been touched in a number of years so it needed updating and to be brought more in line with the client’s vision for a refined, beautiful and comfortable home.” The team completed a full transformation of the property, from structural changes to flooring, custom joinery and a full furniture fit out. “We worked with a contractor to implement the structural changes, amend the lighting, install custom storage and joinery, upgrade things like skirting and adding panelling.
“We also upgraded things like the sockets, switches, radiators and bathroom mirrors to allow for additional storage.
