The closing ceremony, has promised a more traditional show compared to the ambitious Seine River opening . While many details remain under wraps, the Paris 2024 Olympic committee revealed that "over a hundred performers, acrobats, dancers and circus artists" will participate. Artistic director Thomas Jolly, who also orchestrated the opening ceremony, announced the theme as "Records.

Ledecky, the most decorated female Olympian of all time, secured her 14th medal and ninth gold in the 800-meter freestyle. Mead, along with teammates Liam Corrigan, Michael Grady, and Justin Best, got gold in the men's four-rowing event, a first for the U.S.

since 1960. French composer Victor le Masne, the Games' musical director, will oversee the ceremony's music. With 600 musicians expected to participate, le Masne aims to showcase a variety of styles, potentially blending classical and contemporary elements as seen in the opening ceremony.
