The radio host, 49, tearfully disclosed during The Kyle and Jackie O Show that she checked herself into the Betty Ford Center in California in November 2022, during an extended break from her hit radio program. The iconic US treatment facility has helped a long line of celebrities overcome their struggles with addiction.
Located in Rancho Mirage, California, near Palm Springs, the original center was founded by Betty Ford, the wife of former US President Gerald Ford, and Dr James West in 1982. Betty was inspired to establish the center following her own battles with alcohol and diazepam addiction. It offers inpatient, outpatient and residential day treatment for alcohol and other drug addictions.
The Betty Ford Center also has 100 inpatient beds on campus and an additional lodging for 84 patients in a residential day treatment program. It's known for its tough, no-nonsense attitude towards rehabilitation - and not every patient is.
