Paul Young's new wife is a fellow widower who lost her husband of 27 years to suicide. Lorna Young, 53, was introduced to the Eighties singer, 68, by a mutual friend and the pair tied the knot earlier this yeat a London registry office. The nuptials came six years after Paul's first wife Stacey passed away through brain cancer and according to pals, sharing their grief brought them closer together.
Lorna hails from Roscommon in Ireland and runs Paul's company. They moved in together in December 2021, nearly two years before Paul proposed. She's a familiar face to his loyal fans who attend his gigs and was a wannabe musician herself in her youth.
Lorna has told how she nursed her record executive husband Geoff for ten years before he took his own life in 2018. They share a son called Aaron who walked Lorna down the aisle on Friday and made an emotional speech at the reception, in which he described his mum as his 'rock' and 'best friend' after his father passed away. Speaking about the newly weds in a video Lorna posted on Instagram , Aaron said: 'Paul when you met my mum sadly it was a time of your lives where you were both dealing with loss and in my opinion what makes this marriage so special is that is proved to world that love truly does heal.
