McDonald's fans admit they all miss the same thing as chain shares nostalgic video (stock image) (Image: Getty) As McDonald's 50th UK birthday celebration continue, the fast food chain has given fans the chance to explore one of its restaurants from yesteryear. McDonald's opened its first eatery in Woolwich, South London, in October 1974, and over the past few months they've been getting in the mood to celebrate - even welcoming back characters from days gone by including The Hamburglar. Now, the company has gone one step further, provinding a tour of a restaurant - decked out just as it was in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Taking to Instagram , McDonald's began their clip by showcasing their retro counter and checkouts below a menu of its classics - the majority of which are still on sale today. Next, the clip recalls its burger-style seats, which previously proved hugely popular with kids and adults alike. Panning across the shop floor, McDonald's then provides followers with a glimpse of its Apple Pie Tree in its former glory.
