A luxury hotel is set to open eight lakeside lodges aiming to give guests the chance to “relax, rejuvenate and connect with the stunning natural surroundings of West Sussex”. South Lodge near Horsham will open The Reeds, eight lodges next to the estate’s wild swimming lake. The lodges, two of which include spa facilities, aim to promote sustainability while still maintaining the hotel’s luxury features.

(Image: Feasts, Shoots and Leaves) Danny Pecorelli, managing director of Exclusive Collection, the company behind South Lodge, said: “We are incredibly proud to open The Reeds at South Lodge. “Our aim is to provide guests with a luxurious yet sustainable retreat in line with our B Corp certification, where they can relax, rejuvenate and connect with the stunning natural surroundings of West Sussex .” Starting at £1,200 a night, each lodge is set on the edge of South Lodge’s wild swimming lake and includes two bedrooms, open plan living spaces and a private terrace looking out on the water.



(Image: Feasts, Shoots and Leaves) South Lodge is also offering two lakeside spa lodges, starting from £1,400, which include steam showers, an outdoor whirlpool bath and a sauna. Alongside the lodges, South Lodge will source water lilies exclusively from Monet’s garden in Giverny, making it the only location outside France to have these. Read More: New business park to be built on A259 Guests staying in the lodges will also have access to all the features of the South Lodge hotel including its spa and three restaurants, including the Michelin-starred The Pass.

(Image: Feasts, Shoots and Leaves) The Reeds guests can also order breakfast and charcuterie hampers to be eaten in the lodges or as a picnic on the grounds, as well as being able to collect eggs from the hotel’s free-range chickens.
