Ben Fogle, 51, is a well-known face on British television, presenting numerous wildlife-themed programmes across , , Channel 4 and Channel 5. His recent work on Channel 5 includes shows such as Ben Fogle and the Buried City, Endurance: Race to the Pole and Into the Congo with Ben Fogle. Fogle first gained public attention after his participation in the BBC reality show Castaway 2000, where 36 individuals were left stranded on the Scottish island of Taransay for a year.

The programme was a social experiment that observed if these men, women and children could establish a sustainable, self-sufficient community from scratch. Born to actress Julia Foster and vet Bruce Fogle, Ben received private at the Hall School in Hampstead, London and Bryanston School in Dorset, reports . During a gap year, he travelled to Ecuador to teach English at an orphanage, followed by another gap year spent working on a turtle conservation project on the Mosquito Coast of Honduras and Nicaragua.



He later attended the University of Portugal for Latin American studies before studying at the University of Costa Rica. Away from his TV career, Fogle leads a quiet life with his wife, Marina and their two children, Ludovic and Iona. It's thought that the family resides near the village of Fawley, located on the border between Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

This village is just a few miles from Henley-on-Thames, which has been previously named by The Times and The Telegraph as one of the best places to live.
