Once the heart of their communities, these local pubs have all rung 'last orders' for the final time and are now closed. Most have either been completely demolished or at best, converted into housing or flats. All were once classics in their day, now just memories of a good night out, or in some cases, a memorable brawl.
The Glebe on Glebe Farm Road in Kitts Green has been transformed into housing. The once classic, massive, Ansells pub was knocked down to make room for a small estate. The Moonraker in Acocks Green suffered the same fate.
Located right on the edge of Olton, it was razed to make way for flats. The King Edward VII pub on Lichfield Road was demolished and is now a low-rise industrial building - a far cry from its 1902 architecture and a favourite spot for any Villa fan looking for a quick pint.
