Social media influencer Taina Madeiros is believed to have suffered an ectopic pregnancy last week, a condition where a fertilised egg implants itself outside the womb, often in one of the fallopian tubes. If an egg becomes lodged in a tube, the pregnancy cannot continue and must be surgically removed.
The 34 year old underwent surgery this week, although she did not disclose the specifics of the procedure on social media. However, she did reach out to her 70,000 Instagram followers, asking them to "pray for my recovery" in one of her final heartfelt posts. Sadly, Taina passed away and was laid to rest in Parnamirim, northeast Brazil, on Thursday.
The nurse regularly shared breastfeeding advice on her social media page. One of her last Instagram posts read: "Pray for my recovery, now I need to take care of myself..
. But soon I will be better to take care of you, God willing." While an official cause of death has not been confirmed, friends have mentioned Taina's ectopic pregnancy.
The social media star leaves behind a husband and a five year old daughter. Hundreds of fans have been paying their respects and love to Taina and also offering condolences to her husband, reports the Mirror . One follower emotionally commented: "Last week I asked you: 'do you have any idea how many families you've helped?' And you said: 'I've lost count, but it's well over 2,000'.
" Another heartfelt tribute online said: "Your heart wasn't in the numbers but in the dedication! We were witness to that love and dedication! You came into this world to make a difference, Tai! And you did! We will remember you as a blessing!" A relative shared the emotional news with followers online: "God has called our Tai home. Wife, mother, daughter, friend, entrepreneur. A woman full of faith, eternal values, and boundless kindness.
The tribute continued to say she'd left a "legacy of love", and read: "She touched the lives of many, seeing beyond with eyes that reflected the beauty of the sea and exuded compassion. We are left with the best memories: her bright smile, warm embrace, and her legacy of love.".
