A UNIQUE indoor attraction has called itself the "first amazement park in the world" - and it has great events for adults too. Wake The Tiger opened in Bristol in 2022 as an indoor immersive experience. It was created by the team behind the festival Boomtown Fair.

Guests visit 'Meridia,' that the website says was "once a beautiful world" but has broken down and turned into four communities. Also described as Willy Wonka vs Mad Max, the self-guided tour has more than 40 spaces with huge art experiences, hidden doors and an interactive story along the way. It is made for both kids and adults, with a cafe serving sandwiches and cakes along with drinks.

And Wake The Tiger After Hours lets adults have the place to yourself. On Fridays from 7pm until 11pm, all of the spaces are open along with the Guildhall Bar, as well as board games and a photo booth. If you don't quite want to visit in the evening, you can get 2-for-1 on beers from 3pm to 6pm.

Previous guests have raved about the attraction, with some calling it a "dystopian Disneyland ". Another wrote: "Absolutely 1 of the best things I've ever experienced." A third said: "We felt like we’d stepped into another realm and the scale of this and sense of exploration is awe inspiring.

" One person even said: "I worked for Disney for many years and have spent time at the various parks and the Imagineers who create the rides would be in awe of this also." Tickets start from £12.50 for kids and £15 for adults.

Kids under five go free. However there are loads of events on, including 20 per cent off tickets in September and the Tiger Tots Pass which allows unlimited visits. In October, there is a Believe in Beasts drawing competition for Halloween.

And it can even be rented for Christmas parties, for the Retro-Mega-Mas events. It's also not the only indoor attraction perfect for the wet weather right now. There is a tropical indoor rainforest in Bedford that even has a free-roaming sloth.

In East Yorkshire, Jack In The Box was named the UK's best indoor soft play attraction . The UK's unpredictable weather means finding indoor activities is essential for parents treating their kids to a day out. Here's a list of some of the best attractions found firmly underneath a roof in the country.

Empire of the Sea Dragon Indoor Zone This play area claims to be the biggest indoor play park in the UK. The entertainment hub is home to five floors, with slides, rope bridges, swings, net towers and rides. There's also the Trauma Tower, which Empire of the Sea claim is the "best indoor ride in Devon" because of its huge 50ft drop.

Other indoor rides at the Devonshire-based indoor play area include a Ferris Wheel and a Submarine Ride. Play Factore This indoor play zone claims to have been designed especially "to provide families with a state of the art active indoor play arena to play in together". Included in its attractions are the tallest standing indoor slide in the UK, as well as a full indoor laser tag arena, interactive trampolines and zip wires.

In addition to the UK's tallest indoor slide, it also has the country's largest indoor play frame, made up of a network of tunnels, slides and obstacles, including giant bubble balls, spider nets and rollers. What's more, for kids more into playing ball sports, it has a football pitch and a basketball court built into the play frame. Gravity Max Gravity Max has sites in both the north and south of the UK, including in Liverpool, Castleford and Wandsworth.

It also recently opened a brand new one in East London at the Westfield Shopping Centre. The main draw of the site is its E-karting super track, which runs on two separate tracks across multiple levels, offering various different racing experiences. It also has Tokyo-style arcades covering almost an entire floor of their own upstairs.

There's also a nine-hole Coca-Cola minigolf course, which requires players to tap their club in before starting, so each shot can be counted digitally, meaning no cheating is able to take place. Meanwhile, upstairs, the Heineken sports bar is found, which has private booths to allow those who have booked them to have their own choice of music, as well as their own TV screens to watch their choice of sport. There is even an underground theme park, with Babylon Park being the only indoor theme park of it's kind in the UK.

Otherwise here is where to find the largest indoor waterpark in the UK..
