Thursday, October 3, 2024 Indonesia hosted a high-profile tourism promotional event organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, on September 26th. Themed “Greater Bay Area – Connecting Great Experiences,” the event showcased an exciting array of attractions and launched innovative multi-destination travel packages tailored for local travel agents. This initiative aims to position the Greater Bay Area as a unified, world-class destination, attracting a growing number of international tourists to experience its diverse offerings.

In addition to promoting regional tourism, the event focused on fostering deeper cooperation between the three regions, emphasizing the unique tourism resources and recent developments in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. By strengthening ties with Indonesia’s outbound travel market, the initiative seeks to expand the Greater Bay Area’s appeal and reach new global audiences, with a particular emphasis on Southeast Asia. Approximately 150 attendees, including travel industry professionals, media representatives, and key opinion leaders from Indonesia, attended the event.



The high level of engagement showcased strong interest in the multi-destination travel concept, paving the way for potential collaborations and partnerships that could boost tourism to the Greater Bay Area. This joint effort among the three tourism off.
