Monday, November 11, 2024 Goa Tourism made a significant impact at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2024, held from November 5th to 7th, as it highlighted the state’s unique blend of cultural heritage, spirituality, natural beauty, and commitment to sustainable tourism. The Goa pavilion offered an immersive experience that emphasized the state’s dedication to regenerative tourism and positioned Goa as an enriching destination beyond its popular beaches. The delegation, led by the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Shri Rohan A.

Khaunte, was accompanied by key officials including Shri Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS, Secretary Tourism; Shri Sandip Jacques, IAS, Secretary (Exposition of St. Francis Xavier); Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, Deputy Director, Department of Tourism; and Shri Shawn Mendes, OSD to the Minister for Tourism. Together, they engaged with global tourism leaders to foster connections that would drive Goa’s tourism vision forward and expand its presence on the global stage.



The Goa Tourism Pavilion at WTM London reflected the state’s commitment to sustainable growth and responsible tourism. Under the “Goa Beyond Beaches” initiative, the pavilion showcased Goa’s diverse offerings, including adventure tourism, wellness retreats, spiritual experiences, and hinterland tourism. This approach encourages visitors to explore Goa’s rich history, cultural depth, and scenic hinterlands, reducing the pressure on popular coastal areas and promoting eco-friendly travel.
