The popular singing reality show Indian Idol 15 announced its Top 15 contestants last weekend. 15-year-old contestant Ragini Shinde from Aurangabad was left out of the Top 15. She had impressed the judges with her beautiful voice and touching story.
The show’s judge, Badshah, was visibly upset and refused to believe at first as he loved Ragini's performances. Badshah, who had given the Theatre Round a miss, was very surprised to see that Ragini was not amongst the chosen Top 15 in the Grand Musical Explosion. Talking to Times Now/ Telly Talk India exclusively, Ragini Shinde said, "Main aap sabko thank you bolna chahti hu, picchle kuch din mere liye difficult rahe hai.
Lekin aap sabke pyaar aur support ne mujhe hamesha himmat di hai. Indian Idol Season 15 mein mera selection nahi hua, lekin main mehnat karte rahungi, aur apne aap ko ek behtar singer bana ke dikhaungi" (I want to thank everyone. Past few days have been very difficult for me but people's love and support has kept me going.
I couldn't get selected in India Idol 15 but I will do more hard work and become a better singer) Meanwhile, speaking to his fellow judges, Badshah had expressed his confusion about Ragini's elimination, saying, “Ek aisa contestant tha, jisne humein chhoda nahi, humare zehen ko nahi chhoda uske performance ne aur woh hai Ragini”. Ragini's journey to Indian Idol was nothing short of heroic. As a 3-year-old, she saved her brother from the grips of thalassemia through a life-saving bone mar.
