New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has taken another significant step in its global expansion by exporting its India-manufactured Maruti Fronx SUV to Japan. This version of the Fronx, crafted specifically for the Japanese market, comes with a suite of advanced features, making it distinct from the models sold in India. Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Key Upgrades One of the key upgrades for the Japanese market is the inclusion of a 1.

5-litre petrol engine paired with mild hybrid technology. This engine is already in use in some other international markets, but it’s a first for the Fronx heading to Japan. The SUV also introduces Suzuki’s AllGrip Select AWD system, a mid-level all-wheel-drive technology that offers drivers the flexibility to choose from four driving modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock.

This system enhances the vehicle’s performance across various terrains and weather conditions, providing a versatile driving experience. The Japan-bound Fronx also features a reworked suspension system to accommodate the AWD technology, with a unique rear torsion beam setup. Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Interior The interior of this version receives a premium upgrade, featuring a dark brown and plum theme with soft-touch materials and piano black accents on key touchpoints.

The seats are a blend of faux leather and cloth in a dual-tone design, further elevating the cabin’s luxury appeal. Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Safety Features Moreover, the Japanese Fronx is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), including lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and front parking sensors. Other notable features include an electronic parking brake with a hill-hold, automatic cruise control, and heated seats, all designed to enhance both safety and comfort.

The Fronx has already attracted significant interest in Japan, securing over 700 bookings ahead of its official launch on October 16. The initial shipment includes 1,600 units, with deliveries expected to begin in the latter half of October. This launch marks another milestone for Maruti Suzuki, showcasing the growing global appeal of its India-made vehicles.
