New Delhi [India], October 2 (ANI): Union Ministers Jitan Ram Manjhi, JP Nadda and Shobha Karandlaje paid floral tributes to Mahtama Gandhi at Khadi Bhandar on his 155th birth anniversary on Wednesday here. On this occasion, Manjhi said that Mahatma Gandhi on this day promoted Khadi for self-reliance and to generate employment. Speaking to ANI, Manjhi said "Mahatma Gandhi on this day had spinned the charkha and promoted Khadi for the purpose of self-reliance and to generate employment. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi also promoted Khadi which promotes organic manufacturing of clothes." Shobha Karandlaje said that Mahatma Gandhi emphasised on cleanliness and wearing Khadi during the Indian movement.
