Saturday, August 3, 2024 India International Hospitality Expo (IHE 2024) kicks off with grand inauguration, showcasing global partnerships, culinary excellence, and industry innovation. The 7th edition of the India International Hospitality Expo (IHE 2024) was inaugurated today at the India Expo Centre & Mart by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Tourism & Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, in a grand ceremony. Sonia Prashar, Managing Director of Nurnberg Messe; Chairman of India Expo Centre & Mart, Shri Rakesh Kumar; and Show President of IHE, Shri Hari Dadoo, along with prominent figures from the hospitality industry. In his keynote address, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat expressed pride in being part of IHE 2024, which has successfully advanced India’s hospitality industry over the past six years. He emphasized that IHE is more than just an exhibition—it serves as the epicenter of the hospitality sector, bringing together professionals and associates to network, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and showcase India’s potential on the global stage.

Further Hon’ble Minister said, “Our Govt is committed to excelling the tourism and hospitality. World Heritage Committee meeting was organised in just 40 days after making the Govt. recently which was attended by the representatives of 170 countries.

India is now coming up as a centre of attraction.” Moreover, he lauds the efforts of Shri Rakesh Kumar for making all possible efforts to make the hospitality industry thrive exponentially. Hon’ble Minister further said that tourism has all the potential to contribute to India’s achievement of the third-largest economy.

India has all the resources to present a world-class tourism sector. Tourism is the largest employment generator after the agriculture sector. We are witnessing diversity and new business opportunities in this sector, and this is the perfect platform to learn about them.

India can be established as a perennial station and MICE can play a vital role in this direction. The progress and development in this field are crucial, and everyone involved plays a significant role, especially in bridging the gaps. Dr.

Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Expo Centre & Mart, reflected on the success of organizing the past six editions of the India International Hospitality Expo, stating that the event has evolved beyond just an exposition into a significant responsibility to make each edition more iconic and remarkable. He expressed confidence that the seventh edition would surpass all previous records. This year, IHE has partnered with Vietnam, with the valuable support of Mr.

Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor of the Embassy of Vietnam. Vietnamese exhibitors will showcase their products, and renowned Vietnamese chefs will conduct masterclasses on their native cuisine. Additionally, Himachal Pradesh has been designated as the ‘Focus State,’ highlighting its potential as an exhibitor during the event.

Shri Hari Dadoo, President of IHE, extended heartfelt thanks to all the dignitaries, attendees, and participants, emphasizing that their unwavering support and encouragement have been instrumental in making IHE 2024 a resounding success. He acknowledged the contributions of hoteliers, restaurant owners, chefs, decorators, interior designers, and industry professionals, whose participation has enriched the event, creating a vibrant platform for networking, learning, and collaboration. IHE 2024, scheduled from August 3 to 6, continues its legacy as India’s premier hospitality expo.

With over 1,000 exhibitors and more than 20,000 B2B buyers, including luxury hotels, resorts, homestays, restaurants, cloud kitchens, and the F&B sector, the expo is poised to set new benchmarks in the industry. This year’s event is co-located with major shows like Catering Asia, Tent Décor Asia, BIOFACH, and AYURYOG EXPO, offering a comprehensive platform for the hospitality sector. The expo features a wide array of products and services across categories such as HoReCa, Operating Supplies & Equipment, Hospitality Technology, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping & Janitorial, Maintenance & Engineering, Furniture, Fixtures, and Facilities Management.
