Thursday, November 7, 2024 India showcases its cultural richness and diverse tourism offerings at the World Travel Market 2024 in London, aiming to boost global travel interest. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has made a significant splash at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, taking place from November 5-7, 2024. With the goal of boosting inbound tourism and establishing India as a premier global travel destination, the event at Excel London features a robust delegation of approximately 50 stakeholders, including state tourism boards, inbound tour operators, airlines, and hospitality providers.

Together, they are eager to highlight India’s rich cultural tapestry and extensive array of tourism options. The UK, home to nearly 1.9 million people of Indian descent, stands as India’s second-largest source of inbound tourists.



In 2023, India welcomed 9.5 million foreign visitors, with 920,000 hailing from the UK. Recognizing this vital connection, the Indian Ministry of Tourism has crafted a vibrant India Pavilion at WTM 2024, showcasing the country’s diverse cultures, languages, and traditions.

The pavilion also spotlights various niche tourism experiences, such as spiritual retreats, wellness tourism, adventure travel, eco-tourism, and gourmet experiences.
