Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at the Red Fort in New Delhi on August 15. Modi becomes the third prime minister to deliver 11 consecutive speeches on Independence Day, after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. Today, he sported a multi-coloured Rajasthani leheriya print turban with a white kurta set, blue bandhgala jacket, and churidar for the 78th Independence Day celebrations.
