According to the latest multiple reports, British author JK Rowling and billionaire businessman Elon Musk, who also owns social media platform X (formerly Twitter), have been named in a criminal complaint filed to French authorities over alleged “acts of aggravated cyber harassment” against Imane Khelif, the Algerian boxer who won gold in the women’s welterweight category at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In a report by Variety, Khelif’s lawyer confirmed that both Rowling and Musk are mentioned in the complaint filed with the Anti-Online Hatred Center of the Paris public prosecutor’s office. This lawsuit was filed against Musk’s social media platform X and names the popular and controversial figures.

The lawyer continued, “Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution.” Elon Musk and J.K.

Much of the controversy erupted on X and escalated when famous people got involved. For instance, Rowling accused Khelif of being a man “enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head.” Musk shared a post from swimmer Riley Gaines that claimed “Men don’t belong in women’s sports.

” Musk quote-tweeted this with, “Absolutely.” Meanwhile, Trump posted a message with a picture from Khelif’s fight and wrote, “I will keep men out of women’s sports!” A post shared by Imane Khelif | إيمان خليف 🇩🇿 (@imane_khelif_10) Logan Paul, WWE wrestler and internet personality, also attacked Khelif on X, writing, “This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before our eyes. A man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father.
