Sage VanAlstine, 25, says she is proof that the show 'is realistic' - and she has much in common with Lily Collins ' character. As the show returns to Netflix for a fourth season, Emily's designer outfits and fascination with Parisian lifestyle have once again attracted fascination online.

Like Emily, Sage is also American and works in social media marketing - and fans were quick to gush that they'd found the 'real-life' Emily. In a video posted on her Instagram account @sagevanalstine that has now gained over one million views, she said: 'Everyone says Emily in Paris isn't realistic but I'm an American working in social media marketing here in Paris. Sage VanAlstine, 25, says she is the real-life Emily In Paris after moving to the French capital from America 'It's 4pm on a Monday, I'm drinking an iced coffee, and I just got sent here to film some content for an ad we're currently trying to make.



' Sage filmed herself casually sipping on her coffee while relaxing in a gorgeous Parisian square with people enjoying their drinks. The influencer says she got a job in Paris just after she graduated from Michigan State University and moved to the French capital in May. She now shares snippets of her glam life wandering the Parisian streets, as well as fashion videos, trips to Versailles and recommendations for the city.

Unsurprisingly, viewers were quick to fill up her comments section with references to the Netflix show. They said: 'The real life Emily'; 'We found Emily!!!!!!'; 'You better stay away from the French chef and his art gallery girlfriend'; View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sage VanAlstine (@sagevanalstine) She offered viewers a glimpse into her workday, which including sipping iced coffee in an aesthetic cafe while filming content Viewers were thrilled as they realised they'd found the 'real Emily in Paris' 'Have you met Gabriel?' However others took issue with her comments about the show being 'realistic', writing: 'Who cares if it isn't realistic lol??? It's a frickin TV show'; 'Your situation is realistic because you’re wearing either cider or commense. What’s unrealistic is she was also head to toe in Chanel, Schiaparelli, Jacquemus etc'; 'Of course it’s not realistic, it’s a colourful TV show to cheer you up for few minutes.

Emily In Paris has finally ended its ongoing love triangle as it returned for season four - however the show has failed to impress critics.

The show returns after a two-year hiatus, though that wait wasn't seemingly long enough for some critics, who savagely bashed the show. The first five episodes are available to watch on August 15 with viewers having to wait almost an entire month for the second installment on September 11.
