Queensland mum Emily said she developed the opposite version of body dysmorphia after giving birth four weeks ago. “You cannot convince me after growing a whole human, that birthing her through my body, unmediated, that I’ve never been hotter,” she said in a TikTok video. “Pretty sad that I’ve got stretch marks and a squidgy tummy, want me to buy you skinny tees and buy you fitness programs to bounce back? Ew, get a grip.



” The new mum encouraged women to be grateful for their post-partum bodies. Picture: TikTok The glowing mum described herself as hot and that she loves her post-partum body. “I’m so amped that I look like a mother.

I’m hot, I’m hot,” she said. In another video, the mum described her stretch marks as a badge of honour. “My body is incredible for doing what it has done for the past 41 weeks,” she said.

She will know that no matter what society’s forever changing ‘standard’ at the time is not a reflection on beauty but a reflection on insecurities.

A second commenter said she “never related to a video more.” “I’m three weeks post-partum and my body created human life, heck yeah mum bod,” she wrote. Other commenters described Emily as a “queen” for her empowering take on motherhood.

“I feel like everyone should be sent home with their baby and a mini you on their shoulder reminding them they’re hot,” a third commenter wrote.
