IRELAND AM star Muireann O'Connell has said she's "half a stone up" as she slipped into a stunning dress. The Virgin Media star was back on air this morning alongside Alan Hughes and Sean Defoe, who's currently filling in for Tommy Bowe . Muireann often shares her stylish looks with her fans over on Instagram after the show and today was no different.

The Limerick beauty took a video of herself getting ready for work in the studio's changing room. The popular host put on a stunning black maxi slip dress with a navy blazer on top. She paired the outfit with black pointed-toe heels and some bling.

Muireann captioned her post: "God bless an oversized blazer when you’re half a stone up from when you bought the dress. "Even if the jacket was taken out of the dry cleaning bag. Desperate times.

" The Irish star also showed off her clever hack to shorten the blazer's sleeves by putting a bobbin around her arms and tucked the sleeves into them. She explained: "I saw shirt sleeve holders on the Victoria Beckham website recently for €110. ONE HUNDRED AND TEN EURO.

"Just use some go-gos babe. €2 for a pack of 10. Does it cut off your bloody supply.

A bit. Stretch ‘em out!" Muireann's friends and fans all loved her outfit and honesty as they flocked to the comment section with compliments. Helena said: "Love the outfit, love the sleeves hack.

" Roche wrote: "God I love how you keep it real woman. Looking gorgeous as always." Maria commented: "Gorgeous outfit, you always look fab no matter what you wear.

I just love your style." Sile added: "Love it Muireann." Muireann worried that she "missed" the mark on yesterday's work outfit.

The 41-year-old looked sensational as donned an elegant yellow dress that she paired with some red open toed heels. Muireann admitted that she had always "loved the idea" of mixing yellow and red together. She also posted a collage of different celebrities rocking the combo in photoshoots and on red carpets.

And inspired by her celebrity peers' looks, Muireann put on some red lipstick and dabbed some on her cheeks in place for blush. In an attempt to emulate the colour combo, Muireann put a pair of red earrings on, but the presenter still didn't seem convinced. And to give her yellow dress some shape Muireann wore a leopard print belt.

However, the popular presenter didn't appear to be satisfied with the result. She captioned her post: "Ok, I tried something today..

. and I think I missed. But you get the idea! Love or hate red and yellow?".
