For those aiming to get their fitness back on track, a "sustainable" weight loss coach has shared her tips for success, even after indulging over the festive season. Kirsty Lewis, a TikTok influencer with over 128,300 followers, divulged details of her 12-week plan that she's tested herself. In a recent video, she explained to her followers that she's embarking on a fat loss phase but allowed herself a break during Christmas to "enjoy the food and memories".
She recounted: "Today I got back on my training panel, headed out for a 5k run and much to my disappointment, the Christmas food did not give me the turbo boost that I needed, but I still got it done." She also mentioned feeling "super bloated and super uncomfortable" and noted a 2kg increase on the scale, but reassured viewers that this was not fat gain, attributing it to eating more, sleeping less, moving less, and likely retaining water. Outlining her "plan of attack", Kirsty advised her audience to plan meals for the week and schedule workouts, emphasising that she isn't making drastic calorie cuts but returning to normal eating patterns, encouraging her fans to do the same.
For those embarking on their own weight loss journey this New Year, her advice is to adopt a sustainable approach, ditch the all-or-nothing .
