A veterinary nurse has revealed the dog breed that frightens her the most at work, and it's not what people usually expect. When asked which dog breed they are most wary of treating, one might assume vets would mention breeds like Staffordshire Bull Terriers, German Shepherds or Rottweilers. However, for veterinary nurse Eve, the answer is quite different.
Despite owning three dogs herself and professing a love for all breeds , Eve admits to being most scared of Border Collies. In a recent TikTok video on her @eve_the_veterinary_nurse account, she explained: "You can't tell me otherwise," adding, "they unnerve me." According to Eve, Border Collies, a medium-sized British herding breed, are so intelligent they could "outwit you straight away" and even "go head-to-head with a cow".
She further explained that they have a very low tolerance level and could "nip you" quite quickly. While she acknowledged that a well-behaved Border Collie is "It's the nicest dog you've ever met in your life," she warned that they can be "unhinged" if not. Eve shared a recent incident where a Border Collie she was walking started "attacking her feet" and "herding her" back inside, which made her feel "nervous".
She concluded by saying: "Try to make a Border Collie do something they don't want to do. They are 10 steps ahead of you." Eve also mentioned that she doesn't have a personal dislike for the breed and treats all dogs equally, but admitted that Border Collies make her feel slightly more uneasy.
