.. Get Me Out Of Here! have come up with a theory about why BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough was chosen to join the Junkyard Camp.
The radio host, who has been struggling with the trials and failing to bring stars back to camp, took part in his fourth trial, the High Street of Hell, alongside McFly's Danny Jones . Meanwhile, new campmates Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles were living it up in the Junkyard, a luxurious camp complete with beds, food and a bath. They had to pretend they were roughing it in a basic camp, even going so far as to pretend they'd failed the trial that Dean and Danny were about to undertake.
After securing eight stars for the main camp, Dean and Danny were asked by hosts Ant and Dec to choose one of them to join the Junkyard. Unbeknownst to them, this meant a life of jungle luxury. Maura and Richard chose Dean, who was overjoyed when he discovered their secret.
However, viewers at home speculated there might be another reason for Dean's selection. One viewer said: "Wake up people its to stop him being voted for the trials," reports the Mirror . Another chimed in: "This is fixed they knew the public would keep voting for Dean to do more trials so they removed him from the main camp so he can't be up for voting.
