Upon reaching the trial site, presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly introduced Dean to the mummy figure that he would be enclosed within. To win stars, he had to correctly answer questions about Egypt, which would then allow him to use only his mouth to retrieve a star from a box within 30 seconds. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned - with sand filling the sarcophagus and immobilising his legs.
Before attempting the trial, he remarked: "You're so extra this series, so extra! " and later recalled: "I went to Egypt years ago, but I wasn't paying attention." Dean expressed his dread, admitting: "This is my worst nightmare because I can't get out." After only two questions, Dean found it overwhelming and exclaimed the iconic phrase 'I'm A Celebrity.
