Internet sensation Orry, aka Orhan Awatramani, never fails to crack us up with his quirky social media posts. But let's be real, it's his culinary content that often steals the show. Case in point: his latest Instagram video about popcorn.
ICYMI, popcorn has been the talk of the town after the announcement of the new GST rules based on its sugar and spice content. In short, salted and spice-mixed popcorn (unlabelled) will have a 5% GST, while caramelised popcorn will fall under the 18% GST bracket. Pointing to the salted and caramelised versions, he quips, "Here we have 'namkeen' (salted) popcorn and here we have 'non-namkeen' (unsalted) popcorn. This is 5% GST, this is 18% GST, I am also 18% GST." Umm, was Orry low-key calling himself exclusive? We think so! "It is because I am sweet," read his hilarious caption.
