IIFA 2024 took place in Abu Dhabi's Yas Islands. Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar took up the duties of being hosts for the evening along with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee. Many from Bollywood landed up in Abu Dhabi to attend the event.

Best Director was given to Vidhu Vinod Chopra for 12th Fail starring Vikant Massey . Salman Khan 's niece Alizeh Agnihotri also bagged an award for her debut. Hema Malini was honoured with Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award.
