Ibiza club enacts new nighttime restrictions for UK tourists (Image: Getty) A popular Ibiza club has introduced a new rule for all partygoers. Expect a phone-free experience at hotel and club Pikes Ibiza after owners decided to extend its dance floor photography ban to seven nights a week. In April, the policy was introduced on Monday nights only until this week, being extended to every night.

It was announced via Instagram with the message: "Keep your phones in your pocket and your mind on the music." function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.

setAttribute('src','https://live.primis.tech/live/liveView.

php?s=114945&playerApiId=v114945');document.getElementById('ovp-primis').appendChild(el)}window.

top.addEventListener('primisPlayerInit',e=>{try{if(e.detail&&e.

detail.playerApiId==="v114945"){if(window.document.

getElementsByClassName('jwplayer')[0]){e.detail.float('disable')}}}catch(e){}});window.

addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',()=>{setTimeout(()=>{if(typeof flagTcfLoaded!=='undefined'&&flagTcfLoaded===!0){loadOvpScript()ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP flagTcfLoaded',new Date())}else{document.addEventListener("tcfLoaded",()=>{loadOvpScript()ExpressApp.

Log('[Load] OVP tcfLoaded',new Date())})}},1500)}) Clubgoers will now be asked to place a sticker over their phone camera upon entering Pikes' grounds, with staff members ready to remind attendees of the rule if they are caught snapping photos or videos. This "positive shift" is likely a nod to another popular club on the island, Hï Ibiza, which also adopted the policy.

The club, recently voted the best in the world, banned phones at its Damian Lazarus Club Room residency and subsequently at the James Hype and Meduza Club Room residencies.
