A MAN won over £100,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery through a little-known loophole. The winner, who wished to remain nameless, secured the £111,111 jackpot along with eight other lucky winners in Blaydon, Gateshead . The former resident landed the prize despite not having lived in the property for over two years.

It comes after he revealed that he had kept hold of his ticket for the address even after moving. He told The Shields Gazette that he had kept the ticket on the "off chance" it would win. Both him and mother of two, Christina Veitch, who had bought the house, expressed shock at their unexpected reuniting when he arrived back on the street to collect his winning cheque.

I’d recommend this to anyone. Always keep your ticket on the off chance.” Christina, 33, had joined the Postcode Lottery two years ago when she moved into the semi with her husband and two children.

She first found out she had won while watching the new Deadpool film with her husband after the lottery team began calling and leaving voicemails. The nursery worker described the win for her and husband Matthew, 33, as “crazy” and felt that it would “change their lives”. Christina revealed that she had signed up for the Postcode Lottery after an elderly relative had won £2000 in 2021.

Christina and Nissan car plant worker Matthew are now planning a summer break with their son, eight, and daughter, aged seven. The couple also expressed their desire to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary later this year in style. She said: “I’d have been happy with £10,000 and we’d go on holiday.

We’re married 10 years in October and not got anything planned. That might change now. “ By Ethan Singh Anonymous winner - £195,707,000 A UK ticket-holder scooped the record EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million on July 19 2022 – the biggest National Lottery win of all time.

The couple won a record-breaking £184million jackpot in May 2022 and shared hopes of a Hawaiian holiday and a new horse box for their children's ponies. Joe bought his winning ticket online on May 10, 2022, and the following morning received an email with good news. As he learnt of the huge win, he was in disbelief and initially kept it for himself as he did not want to disturb his wife, who was sleeping.

He left money for their children Carly and Jamie. Adrian and Gillian Brayford - £148,600,000 Adrian and Gillian won 190 million euros in a EuroMillions draw in August 2012, which came to just over £148 million. But Adrian split from Gillian the following year because of the stress of the win.
