A TikTok travel guru has showcased the stunning scenery Santorini has to offer - admitting her two-hour wait to witness the sunset was more than worthwhile. Paige Wooldridge is no stranger to documenting her trips across the globe on social media - and she was clealy left in awe of the Greek island earlier this year. Paige (@paige_wooldridge) shared a short video from her position looking down at the ocean has scores of holidaymakers also took in the breathtaking view.
"Definitely worth the two hour wait," she declared in a caption to her 2,900 followers. "You sit on top of the castle in Oia 2 hours before sunset to get the best spot," she added. And proving her point, Paige panned her camera around the area at dusk, revealing the sun's golden glow across the calm waves as it slowly descended out of view.
Despite her modest following, the video caught the eye of a much broader range of TikTok users, with more than 120,000 people taking a look for themselves. "Yes, I [did] not wait so long, the best view is from ruins, I stay in different places but the best is on the ruins," agreed one person, who watched the sun go down from a similar spot. "Literally the best spot though," agreed a second person.
" Wow, love seeing the BTS [behind the scenes] of the realities of the crowd," added a third person, prompting Paige to respond: "It gets so busy!! But 100% worth it." "Stunning!" added a fourth TikTok user. "Can’t wait to go next week.
" Elsewhere, others offered alternative suns.
