Christmas is coming – so what better excuse than to stuff your gob with as many festive goodies as possible. One place you can get plenty of Christmassy treats is Morrisons. The British supermarket has released its sandwiches range – with 5% of proceeds going to Marie Curie charity.

There are a wide range of food options available – whether you like meat, are plant based or want to go down the gluten free route, you're covered. But do the offerings actually taste any good? Lifestyle writer Danielle Kate Wroe headed down to the supermarket to find out – and here are her brutally honest thoughts..



. What's in it? Morrisons says the wrap contains "tender chicken, spicy sprout slaw, nduja and mayo, with smoked bacon, spinach and chilli cranberry chutney". Danielle's verdict: "With a name like Firecracker Chicken, I was expecting something seriously spicy - and with the promise of three chilis on the packaging, I was ready for my lunchtime to get seriously heated - especially because it even said 'hot' underneath it.

But while this sandwich did not give me the level of heat I was craving, it did deliver softness, and major flavour. The nduja gave another level of taste sensation which packed a real punch, and although it wasn't particularly Christmassy, I can definitely get behind a sandwich like that." Score – 9/10 What's in it? The white bread sarnie contains Lincolnshire sausage and streaky bacon, as well as "balsamic onion chutney".
