Right, it's coat season. So sod the summer bod. The autumn and winter seasons are perhaps my favourite time of year for several reasons.

The dark nights, the miserable weather and the food, to name a few. Just picture the scene. You've gone on a long hike through the mountains and hills in the pouring rain (cosplaying as a vampire from Twilight) and arrive at a pub with a roasting fire and a consoling menu.



What could lift this hungry goth's spirits even further? Wine. For me, this is the perfect scenario, but I'm aware it's not always feasible. We're not all blessed to have marauding mountains on our doorstep, nor are we all lucky enough to have charming independent inns with roaring fires around the corner.
