A WOMAN has revealed that she lives in a static caravan and can’t stand the school summer holidays. Katie, who is from the UK and is known online as ‘The Caravan Mum’, revealed that whilst she normally loves living a ‘nomad’ lifestyle, she finds it highly ‘infuriating’ when kids are off school and families visit the caravan park. The mother, who is based in West Wales, explained that not only does her shower pressure go down to a dribble, but more people on the site also causes chaos for her phone signal too.

Opening up about her lifestyle, Katie took to social media to share her frustrations, leaving many open-mouthed. Katie shared her video with the caption ‘I love the static caravan 99% of the time but THIS drives me mad, last summer I saved my showers for when I went to the gym’. She then said: “One thing that drives me absolutely insane about living in the static caravan in the summer holidays - the site obviously gets quite crowded, quite populated, there are lots and lots of kids here who are on school holidays.

“That means if you go in the shower during a popular shower time, so anytime between 8am and 10am, maybe even a little bit earlier, 7:30am, then that means you're basically gonna have like a dribble of water.” Katie claimed that whilst this might not be the case for all caravan sites, when it happens on her caravan park, it drives her “absolutely mental.” She also explained: “It happens with the washing up, so if you're running the washing up sink, everything just comes out a little less powerful and it's really frustrating.

” Not only this, but the savvy mum shared how her phone signal is “absolutely horrific” and “takes ages” to load anything when people visit the caravan site during the summer. She continued: “Another thing to watch out for if you are looking to live this lifestyle is the internet - so if you are using a personal hotspot off your phone, make sure that you've got a phone signal provider that is really, really good in the area. “We've got Tesco, and sometimes, when it's not so popular, it's pretty good, but when it gets popular in here, it's absolutely horrific, it takes me ages just to be able to do anything.

” As a result, Katie claimed that she has to leave her phone outside her caravan, on the decking, so that she can get signal to upload videos on social media. Due to this, the content creator revealed that she “absolutely hates” when it gets busy on her caravan park in the summer months. Social media users emphasised with Katie’s irritation and many could relate to her anger. We are away right now and noticed this right now about the showers! Takes forever One person said: “That would drive me absolutely nuts.” Another added: “We are away right now and noticed this right now about the showers! Takes forever.

” CARAVAN park holidays are a British staple. And with the cost of living crisis wreaking havoc on Britain's purses, more of us are turning to them for an affordable break. Josie O'Brien, Senior Digital Writer on Fabulous, weighs in on why she thinks caravan holidays are seriously underrated.

.. WHEN I was a child, my mum used to collect the £9.

50 holiday vouchers in The Sun. She’d use them to book a couple of nights away at a caravan park during the school holidays. As an adult, I fully appreciate the convenience of a humble caravan holiday.

No faffing about with passports, no luggage limits and no bog-standard hotel breakfast of stale toast and grey eggs. I still love caravan holidays as an adult. In a world of doing everything for the ‘gram, a caravan park brings you back to basics.

There’s no obligation to get dressed up, no stress to fit a million picturesque excursions in one week and I don’t find myself flustered in tourist hot spots like abroad. I love going to coastal caravan parks and strolling along the beach parade. My highlight is always fresh mussels, ice-creams and classic pubs to grab an afternoon tipple in.

And then, of course, there’s the cost. Staying in a caravan is definitely way cheaper than my international trips. With no expensive hotel bills and the ability to cook my own meals, I'm spending hundreds less than I would abroad.

I've had some of my best and most relaxing holidays in caravans. Maybe I'll buy my own one day. A third commented: “I did always wonder why shower pressure was so weak on caravan holidays.

I had no idea that was a reason.” At the same time, someone else claimed: “I bet the noise levels rise as well.” To this, Katie replied and confirmed: “Amazingly, on our site it’s extremely peaceful after 9-10pm.

“We’re quite a small site with no big flashy and awfully cringe entertainment.”.
