A BRIDE was left bewildered following her mom's dress disaster at her first wedding - but things were going to be different this time. She was no longer going to allow her mother's wardrobe choices to be the cause of her wedding day woes. Redditor Cheshirekim0626 shared how her mom's style left everyone speechless on her big day.

"My mom wore a white strapless mini-dress to my first wedding. And when I say mini dress, I mean mini," she said. "I was pretty thin and in good shape at the time and I wouldn’t have even been brave enough to wear that clubbing much less a wedding," she continued.

And she didn't stop making a spectacle of herself just yet. "She spent the entire wedding flirting with my dad - they were still divorced at the time - and then ended up grinding on him on the dance floor with her dress either falling down or coming up," she said. She explained how either her boobs or butt were left exposed at some point as both could not be "fully covered" at the same time.

She was still reeling from the incident but this wasn't her first rodeo. She had learned her lesson - her mother's dress was going to be approved before she walked down the aisle again. "Needless to say, I picked out her outfit for my second wedding and she looked absolutely wonderful," she said.

Others also shared the biggest wedding attire mishaps they had witnessed. "For an afternoon garden wedding, the mother of the bride wore a low-cut white taffeta ballgown - so full it was just this side of a hoop skirt - with white summer furs," said a Redditor. "The kind with head and paws still attached, and a lot of pearls and diamonds, including in her hair - along with a couple of white camellias behind one ear," she continued.

"Meanwhile, her daughter was in a pair of cream palazzo pants with a coordinated camisole. It was all rather puzzling. I can’t believe I forgot the white-kid opera gloves.

" "My friend’s mother-in-law wore a near replica of her wedding dress. She thought people were looking at her because she was more beautiful," another reader shared. There were even more shocking tales of wedding attire atrocities.

"One of the mothers was wearing what basically looked like a wedding dress minus the train - lacy, halter, mermaid dress that was bright yellow - Like Big Bird yellow," said a user. "Not inappropriate or anything, just tacky," they continued. "I went to a wedding where the mother of the groom wore a sparkly white dress.

She told everyone it was 'champagne.' Nope. Nothing about it was champagne.

It was white," another commented. One reader still couldn't wrap their head around the bride's story. "The amount of double takes I had to do reading this just gave me whiplash," they said.
