A WOMAN has revealed that she has given her home a mega makeover thanks to a cheap hack. So if you are looking to give your home a glow up, but without breaking the bank, then you’ve come to the right place. Lissie Broom, a DIY fan from the UK, has revealed that thanks to her simple trick, she has added style and glamour to her home, whilst on a budget.

And Lissie claimed that although people get ‘so angry’ and ‘offended’ by her interior trick, she doesn’t care, as she ‘loves’ her beautiful home. Posting on social media, Lissie revealed that she swears by using D-C-Fix vinyl, which she buys from B&Q, to transform her home on a budget. Rolls start from just £8 and Lissie confirmed that she used the D-C-Fix vinyl in the shade Ribeck Oak.

As she showed off her stunning home, the content creator said: “I can't believe how offended some people get with D-C-Fix vinyl. “I have used it all over my house - dressing tables, chest of drawers, window sills, my kitchen. “And the best thing about it? It is budget friendly, renter friendly.

“You can transform any piece of furniture - yes, back in the day this was Fablon, it's been used for years and years. “Some people just get on their high horse about it. I don't know why they get so angry.

“If somebody wants to whack some vinyl on their furniture, let them. Don't like it, scroll past.” Showing off her gorgeous kitchen, which has been given an overhaul thanks to the D-C-Fix vinyl, Lissie explained: “Anyway, I love it.

The best thing about it for me is, if I change my mind, I can change it, and I've changed my kitchen three times since I lived in this house because I get bored quite easily. “So that's the good thing about it - you can rip it up, it doesn't ruin your worktops because I've done it multiple times. “It does, so I've been told, pull paint off of furniture, so you need to be careful if you’re planning to change anything on your furniture, you need to be careful.

“To me, it is the best thing and because it's budget friendly, renter friendly, I will only ever use the brand D-C-Fix.” The ultimate guide for homeowners and renters: But Lissie stressed that while you can buy similar peel and stick vinyl from Shein and Temu, it’s best to get the proper stuff from B&Q. The DIY enthusiast advised: “A lot of people have messaged me and said ‘I got it from Shein, it's ripping’, ‘got it from Temu’ or got it from wherever else - I would only ever recommend D-C-Fix.

My last kitchen was wrapped for four years “It's easier than you think to do it. If you're thinking about doing it, do it. Honestly, you won't regret it.

“It can be tricky, you need a lot of patience, but it's so worth it. “You can change it whenever you want. So, yeah, if you are thinking about it, go do it.

Definitely.” The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ life_with_lissie , has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 677,900 views. Social media users were impressed with Lissie’s makeover hack and many flocked to the comments to express this.

This looks stunning! One person said: “I’m thinking of doing this. Do you seal around your sink over the vinyl?” To this, Lissie confirmed: “Yes babe, I seal the sink and then caulk the edges by the tiles.” Another added: “Fantastic job, is there a knack to it because I'd love to do my kitchen but when I did my dressing table I got lots of air bubbles.

” Lissie then replied: “Go slow. Patience. Lots of squeegee action.

” A third commented: “This looks stunning!” Whilst someone else beamed: “I love it!” At the same time, one user claimed: “But it doesn’t last.” But to this, Lissie responded and wrote: “My last kitchen was wrapped for four years.”.
