Starring (real name Sean Combs), and Jonah Hill, the trio have all been caught up in a series of Hollywood scandals with serious claims made against them since the film was released back in 2010. While rewatching the film, I couldn’t believe how eerily similar some of their lines mirrored the cast’s real life controversies and alleged scandals.

During Diddy’s first on-screen appearance, the rapper quips a notably uncanny line when considering his recent arrest - charged with sex trafficking and racketeering - and the impact this has had on Hollywood’s biggest stars. Following the incident, any famous face even marginally associated with the I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker has been closely scrutinised, with particular focus on anyone who attended his infamous mansion parties. Sean has denied all of the allegations made against him.



During the incredibly loud outburst, Combs’ character Sergio screams: “Sh** is serious out here. The music business is failing. The bubble done popped!” Throughout the film, Diddy plays a wildly insufferable record label boss who doesn’t stop shouting, swearing and screaming at anyone who dares cross his path.

However, out of all the rapper’s cringe-worthy scenes - of which there are quite a few - one particularly vile interaction made my skin crawl. While staring at Jonah Hill dead in the eyes, Diddy recites: “It’s called mind-f***ing. You ever been mind-f***ed before? .
