DOIREANN Garrihy said she "can't believe she's a bride-to-be" as she prepares for her upcoming two day hen party. The former 2FM star and her best-selling author fiance, Mark Mehigan, got engaged last November and are now preparing to tie the knot at the end of the year. The Irish star has been keeping relatively tight-lipped about the big day, but has shared a handful of insights into their wedding planning over on Instagram .

The 32-year-old revealed her hen party is this weekend, and her prep is well underway. Doireann took to her platform yesterday to post a photo of her dressed down in her cosy clothes from her kitchen. The popular presenter clutched a glass of wine as she posed for the camera and grinned, excited for her week ahead.

In the back of the photo, sitting at the head of the table, was Doireann's dog Bert. He looked up to her as she posed for her snap. Doireann captioned her photo: "I’m MCing an event tomorrow night so had to get my hen spray tan (and have my pre hen singular celebratory glass of wine) tonight @blushbeautyroomd7 Vita Liberata in shade Ecuador til I die.

"Nails are on the mend thanks to queen Yulia @beautyone_d4 Outfits are coming together. One blip - my brow girls had the audacity to be on holidays this week, @lornafarrelly_thebrowartist @liz_thebrowartist (we’ll deal with this when you’re home). "All in all we’re coming together and I cannot actually believe I am a bride to be, let alone a hen two nights with twelve of the best - roll on Friday.

" Friends and fans flocked to the presenter's comment section to share in their excitement for her hen. Doireann's sister Ailbhe Garrihy wrote: "My nerves." Grainne commented: "Hope you have the bestest time.

" Jenny remarked: "Aw you'll have the best weekend." Another fan added: "Have a ball lady." Yesterday on Instagram, Doireann detailed to her fans her pre hen party mishap .

She took a snap outside Ballsbridge based beauty salon, Beauty One and captioned the photo: "Time to see if I'm gel polish ready. Pray for me girls." Shortly afterwards, Doireann posted to her stories the result of her nail glam.

Holding her hand against the glistening morning sun Doireann said: "Girls, it wasn't to be. "But we remain positive, you know, it doesn't matter that I don't have fab nails for my hen. "For my literal hen, that I'll never have again.

But, they are looking great manicure wise.".
