Saturday, August 3, 2024 Hyatt Hotels unveils plans for Andaz Jakarta Sudirman, a new luxury hotel in the heart of Jakarta’s CBD, poised to redefine urban hospitality in Indonesia. Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) revealed that one of its affiliates has signed a management agreement with PT Central Sudirman Development to introduce the first Andaz hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. Expected to open in early 2028, this new hotel will be a key feature of Two Sudirman Jakarta, a mixed-use development consisting of two towers that will rank among the tallest skyscrapers in the country.

Situated in the heart of Jakarta’s central business district, the hotel will be Indonesia’s first Andaz-branded urban property, adding to the Andaz Bali resort, which debuted in 2021. Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will become part of Hyatt’s expanding portfolio of 14 properties across Indonesia, encompassing the Alila, Andaz, Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt Regency brands. “We are excited to work with PT Central Sudirman Development for the first time on these plans to bring the imaginative and self-expressive ethos of the Andaz brand to Jakarta,” said David Udell, group president, Asia Pacific, Hyatt .

With Andaz Jakarta Sudirman, we aim to create a landmark that not only enhances Jakarta’s skyline but also enriches the city’s hospitality offerings, setting a new standard in urban living and hospitality excellence.” Construction has commenced for Two Sudirman Jakarta, a strategically located development along Sudirman Street, the main artery of Jakarta’s central business district.

This prime location will offer easy access to MRT (Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit), LRT (Light Rapid Transit), and direct connections to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport via the Airport Rail Link, providing travelers with seamless city transportation. The two towers within the development will feature residences, dining establishments, retail spaces, and office facilities. Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will span the 40th to 72nd floors of Tower A, providing guests with breathtaking views of the city skyline.

The interiors of the hotel, which include 198 hotel rooms and 167 serviced apartments, will be crafted by Tokyo-based Design Studio Spin. Visitors can anticipate enjoying the signature Andaz Lounge, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, meeting rooms, an all-day dining venue, a bar, and a specialty restaurant situated on the top floor..
