Tuesday, September 24, 2024 Hyatt announces the debut of its luxurious Andaz Gold Coast Resort in Australia, opening mid-2025, offering a unique blend of upscale lifestyle and local culture. Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially revealed plans to bring its luxury Andaz brand to the Gold Coast, Australia, in collaboration with Destination Gold Coast Consortium. This venture is a partnership involving The Star Entertainment Group, Far East Consortium, and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises.

Scheduled for a mid-2025 opening, the Andaz Gold Coast will mark the brand’s debut in Australia and the Pacific, introducing Hyatt’s signature upscale lifestyle experience. The Andaz brand, known for its presence in iconic cities like Tokyo, New York, Singapore, and London, as well as resort locations such as Bali and Maui, promotes creativity and exploration. Each Andaz property blends local culture with a sense of playful sophistication, encouraging guests to embrace new experiences.

The Gold Coast location promises to offer a similarly unique, immersive stay. Situated within The Star Gold Coast, a prestigious mixed-use development on Broadbeach Island, the Andaz Gold Coast will provide easy access to sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and popular theme parks. Guests can explore a range of recreational activities and entertainment venues within the resort, as well as enjoy premium shopping at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and nearby connections to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Occupying floors six through 21 of a new 65-story tower, the Andaz Gold Coast will offer 202 luxurious guest rooms and suites. The resort’s amenities will include a fitness center, three distinct dining venues, and an outdoor pool deck with sweeping views of Broadbeach. Level six will host a vibrant pool area featuring a cocktail bar, beach club, private cabanas, and open-air dining.

Guests will also be able to unwind at the Andaz Lounge, a relaxing space offering light snacks and beverages throughout the day. The resort’s architectural design is being led by DBI Architects, with interiors by the award-winning Australian firm Hachem. The design will be inspired by the concept “Chase the Sun,” capturing the transformation of sunlight throughout the day, reflecting the Gold Coast’s natural beauty.

Once completed, The Star Gold Coast will become one of the largest integrated resort destinations in Australia, with the Andaz Gold Coast offering a fresh, dynamic addition to the experience..
