Former BBC presenter Huw Edwards has been hit with another blow following his child abuse images conviction, as his wife has now reportedly filed for divorce. Vicky Flind, who is also the mother to the former newsreader's five children, has allegedly begun proceedings to end their marriage after he has "put her through hell". Reportedly, the former couple are only "speaking through lawyers" as their 30-year marriage is coming to a bitter end.
A source told The Sun : "Vicky had enough of Edwards a long time ago but this is the final nail in the coffin of their relationship. "He’s put her and their family through hell, so this was inevitable. Unsurprisingly, they separated a long time ago and Edwards has been living elsewhere, but it is now official.
Vicky is not talking to him and they now only communicate via lawyers." Edwards, 62, is believed to have moved out of their shared family home in Dulwich, south London, some time ago. It has since been put on the market for £4.
75 million. Last year, his wife released a statement confirming his identity as the BBC presenter at the centre of allegations about paying a teenager for explicit images, and said he is receiving in-patient hospital care and is suffering from "serious mental health issues". At the time she said that the family had faced "five extremely difficult days" and hoped that the statement would "bring speculation to an end".
Edwards was arrested by London's Metropolitan Police last November and charged on June 26..
