Over 1,000 students of all ages met with businesses and employers as part of a city careers fair. Students from schools across Sussex descended on the Brighton Centre to hear from dozens of businesses as part of the Hello Future 2024 fair. The event, opened by Brighton mayor Cllr Mohammed Asaduzzaman, gave students the chance to speak to industry experts and find what they want to do with their careers.
Penny Daly, enterprise coordinator for West Sussex, Brighton and Hove Careers Hub, said: "It is wonderful to see our region’s students engaging with the world of work through this inspiring, immersive and inclusive experience. “Not only does it help raise aspirations, but it also highlights the wide range of opportunities available, empowering every young person to discover their best next step. “A huge thanks to the Brighton Chamber and the businesses large and small that have come along today, and to our sponsors and the volunteers from American Express who helped make this event run smoothly.
” Organised by Brighton Chamber of Commerce and supported by American Express and Rampion, the event saw businesses from retail and leisure to construction and financial services take to the Brighton Centre for the event..
