Love Actually is still all around - but being a parent to five children definitely has its challenges and Hugh Grant wasn't afraid to admit that. The Wonka actor appeared on the Monday, November 18 episode of the Smartless podcast, during which he was asked about how many kids he has. "Well, we think it's five," Hugh, 64 quipped in response.
" But I had them much too old in life you know, I started when I was 52," he pointed out, noting: "Now I'm 64, you know, and the youngest is six, and I need a long stint in a sanatorium or an abbey." Hugh added that he often looks at the abbey where Maria from The Sound of Music lived and jokes about how he wishes he lived there. The actor is indeed a father to five children: daughters Blue, five, and Lulu, eight, and son John Mungo, 12, whom he shares with wife Anna Eberstein; daughter Tabitha Xiao Xi, 13; and son Felix Chang Hong, 11, whom he shares with Tinglan Hong.
Back in October, the Notting Hill star appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, where he discussed how he named his two younger daughters. Hugh, who had previously not made their names public, explained that he was in a bit of a "panic" when trying to name his children. “I have a daughter who I named.
.. I was in a bit of a panic with my wife on the day we named her and we thought it might be nice for her when she was older if she could say in bars that her middle name was Danger," Grant recalled.
