Saturday, November 9, 2024 Tourism and Culture Department’s Principal Secretary and Tourism Board Managing Director highlighted the vision behind “Hridayam MP,” an initiative designed to build a robust wellness tourism ecosystem within the state. This platform will unite tourism, wellness, and medical value tourism stakeholders for enhanced collaboration and growth. The announcement was made during a launch event held at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Auditorium.

The event included the unveiling of the Hridayam MP logo and a conference focused on Wellness and Medical Value Tourism, co-organized by MP Tourism in partnership with FICCI. AYUSH Commissioner emphasized that the 2017 National Health Policy promotes a “cafeteria approach,” fostering an integrated healthcare system in the state. She noted that Madhya Pradesh is well-positioned for wellness and medical tourism, offering diverse AYUSH treatments, including Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy.



Prominent industry figures also discussed the state’s promising role in wellness and medical tourism. The event welcomed a wide array of participants, from AYUSH practitioners and medical students to hoteliers, travel agents, and government officials, all exploring the sector’s growth potential. The “Hridayam MP” initiative is set to foster Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and Meditation centers at prime tourist locations, with the government offering incentives, establishing land banks, and creating supportive po.
